| Help us Preserve Unalaska's History! |
UCB must archive aging videos before it's too late, and we need your help. The first step is to catalog our collection, and track down missing video content. Do you have copies of videos produced during the early days of Channel 8? We might not have the original! Do you own video that is historically significant to Unalaska? We'll provide you with a DVD copy, and do our best to preserve the original. All formats welcome.

| Our Services |
Channel 8 is a low power, 10 watt community television station that began broadcasting in 1981. We operate thanks to a generous grant from the City of Unalaska and the support of viewers. We strive to bring the community a balance of local programs, announcements and bulletins, and relevant programming acquired from outside sources. Expect to see our schedule continue to grow in coming months.
In addition to providing the only locally-generated original programming in Unalaska, Channel 8 offers select PBS shows simulcast from Alaska One. Catch PBS Kids shows every morning, the Newshour weekdays at 6 PM, and popular evening programs on the weekends. This additional service is designed for homes without cable television. If you have ideas on how we can further supplement our schedule, let us know! Call 581-1888 or email Kelly.
Households without cable can also tune in to ARCS, Channel 4. ARCS provides a mix of public and commercial television product, Alaskan produced news and public affairs, and education and informational programs from various sources. ARCS in managed by Alaska Public Broadcasting, Inc. The local signal is maintained by Unalaska Community Broadcasting. For complete schedules, click on any of the links below...
